- What style am I? I do not have a style, I have ideas that I put on canvas. I paint out of pure drive and passion. My style has no format or genre to follow. I do not like to be labeled as only one kind of artist. I just paint what I feel. I want to paint something that makes others feel as well. I am interested in making the mind think, the heart beat, the soul to be touched, all the while enhancing everyone’s lives through art. I like to make paintings that are alive and jump off the canvas. I find the inspiration for my paintings in everyday life and the objects that surround me. I am constantly seeing a canvas, full of color and with meaning, all from normal activities of the day. Each painting becomes a novel to me, carrying me away from reality into my own imaginary world. Real quick post; Brian, the owner at fineartamerica.com decided to honor his artists by buying a domain and making it available to all who are paid members. Now every member has their own website.
I think this is an incredible gesture and believe that more art websites should follow suit.
My new website for prints is:

I started this series, "Women of Color" awhile back. The basic premise or idea that popped in my head was to not just show the beauty of a woman, but the eccentric colors of a woman, no matter what the skin tone or ethic background. So the concentration or eye is supposed to be drawn to the colors, which translates to beauty. The first two sold but can still be seen at my store. These two here are the next available. I hope you enjoy!

My dream as an artist was always to produce quality work that would inspire, move or emotionally attract someone looking at it. That was it.
A few years ago, with a little push, I started selling online, always with that sub conscious thought that I was not good enough. I have done pretty good so far, have met hundreds of wonderful people, mostly artist, but have moved to the point that I understand "why" someone would want my work. Still do not put or have the time to put 100% into self promotion, but maybe someday.
The one constant I have always had is my involvement with Children, through volunteering and support. I have helped build or rebuild schools in third world countries, taught basic English and art in areas of the world that poverty is a four letter word, and have always supported the local Children's Cancer research and the National Leukemia Foundation. I have never ever wanted praise for this nor am I telling you this to receive it. I was and just do my part to help as a lot do.
About a year and a half ago while I was living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, a production company contacted me and wanted to do a documentary on me for a show titled, "Art of Living Gallery." I was at first hesitant but when I saw it would involve support and acknowledge the Dallas Children's Cancer Fund and the Children's Hospital there, I jumped on board immediately.
Long story short; I was just informed finally the documentary will air the week of March 29th. I am including a link to the website of the parent company, Veria as I think any of these stories there will inspire you as an artist, human, parent, or supporter.
Veria network is only on Dish Network (Channel 218) and Verizon (Channel 162), so I hope you can view it somehow.
Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble. I think as artist, writers, or just human beings in general; we all want to do our part. I challenge you to do yours and give back to a charity or non-profit you feel strong about.
I started a new series titled, "Uno,Dos,Trees" to honor my wifes love for trees. It has been something I have been interested in doing for so long, but being the nonconformist and paint what I feel kind of guy, just kept putting it on the back burner. With this series, I can still paint what I feel through my thoughts, but just convert it in to a tree series. I hope you enjoy.
This piece is "Followers". The idea came to me when we were disciplining our child for being a follower and the words we all swore we would never use came out of my wife's mouth, " If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you jump too?" I almost lost it...lol. Hence the new piece. Be a Leader, not a follower.
